Attendance
Good attendance is vital to supporting both your child’s academic progress and their wellbeing. Children who are regularly absent often experience difficulties with school work and have difficulty making and keeping reliable friends.
An attendance of 90% means your child is missing one day off school every fortnight. This is 4 or 5 lessons every fortnight. An attendance of 80% means your child is missing one day off every week. This is 4 or 5 lessons every week. Children who do not attend school regularly are receiving the message that school is not important. This will impact how they view education and learning when they are older.

At Church Hill School we monitor attendance carefully and will work to support you if your child’s attendance falls below 90%.
